We met with Mrs. Stevens, Amy's Year 1 teacher, for parent-teacher conferences. We learned that when Amy has completed a task at school, she always checks in with the teacher to see what she should do next instead of "messing about." In "maths" she has already surpassed the Year 1 targets and she is making good progress on reading and writing - falling right on target for her grade. Her current writing assignments include proper structuring of paragraphs (3-4 complete sentences with "describing words" and "full stops"). Overall, Mrs. Stevens reported that Amy is a pleasure, has many good friendships, and is "very mature" for her age. We're so proud of her!
Also, Lana passed her theory (written) portion of her UK driving test today with a perfect score. Here's to hoping the practical exam will go as smoothly...
I love that picture! I miss my little blonde neices! What little cuties.
ReplyDeleteTell Amy I'm so proud of her for doing so good in school! And tell her to come visit her Auntie Lindy...Red Lobster is waiting.
