After the less-than-enthusiastic response I got from the farm walk, I aimed to make restitution to my children by taking them to a location free of educational objectives, a mere "free play" zone where they could endlessly engage themselves in a variety of physically challenging activities: Sim's Gym.
Sim's Gym is a local gymnastics centre and home to the current men's Olympic bronze medalist. It opens its doors each weekday morning for children and their care-givers to come in and simply play around on all the gymnastics equipment. Amy and Emily particularly enjoy the balance beams and the swinging rope.
