This isn't to show off, it is mostly for grandparents to see Amy's creative work. They have been doing lots with 'information' books, aka: nonfiction, at school. They are also learning a lot about ocean life in preparation for a field trip to the North Sea in a couple more weeks.
Well, she came home this weekend, stapled some paper together and made a book. The only guidance she got was some help from Dad on looking up definitions of words for her glossary. She thought up the topics, wrote the information, illustrated (and in some case added captions), created the index and glossary. She is really proud and we hope you enjoy the video and, of course, her wonderful accent.

I just want to add that I'm really impressed with Amy's enjoyment with learning and thought her book was FABULOUS - especially for only being 5 years old. It's an immense blessing that she gets to be at such a wonderful school right now and also that she is a naturally bright kid. I'm just so proud of her! -Mom
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I can't get over her little accent! I think I shall have to practice my english accent the rest of the afternoon, it's contagious! I love it!
