Some of the highlights included space-themed arts and crafts at the P'boro Museum and visiting the mobile Planetarium. The girls learned to identify constellations as well as other interesting facts about our solar system and beyond. Also at the museum, we participated in a survey/tour and the girls gave feedback on their favourite exhibits and displays.
One day we went to the Stamford Arts Centre for its first ever Children's Film Festival. For fun, we adopted two older girls from church to bring along with us. Amy & Emily thought it was fabulous to have some "big sisters" for a day. First we stopped at the supermarket and I let each of the girls choose a treat to take to the movie. Then we saw Disney's "Lady and the Tramp" in the cinema.
Afterwards, we came home and made pizzas for lunch:
During the afternoon we played with Shrinkles:
In addition to our special outings, we also found plenty of time for reading, playing "Mum-School" (I was the teacher and they were my students) and baking cookies. We even made peanut butter play dough.
It was a really fun week!

ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed by how perfectly you braid their hair! You need to teach me. And yes, I have a very dear friend who loves me very much. She wears your bows every single day.
