This year's Dobber-camp took place in Hayward, Wisconsin (the deep north woods) and was full of all the classic traditions including skits,

swimming,

tubing on the Namekagen River,

cooking on the campfire,

... and visiting the local Indian Ojibwe community college...??? Okay, sure enough Grandma had to throw in an authentic cultural experience somewhere.
The best part was just having everyone together and playing games and visiting late into the night around the campfire. The worst part might have been the abundance of over-sized mosquitos... I smacked one that was having a banquet on Emily's head. The resulting blow left enough blood on my hand for a hefty donation to the Red Cross.
Holy cow that looks like so much fun! I am totally jealous. We didn't get to do much outdoor stuff this summer because of Gavin and I miss it! Do people do lots of camping in England? I'm sure they do but it seems like an "american" thing to me
