Bad Hair Day

Friday was "bad hair day" at Amy's school and I just had to capture some of the creative "do's" that the kids (or in some cases, the mums) came up with...
Each child with bad hair was fined 50 pence which was deposited into the school fundraising coffers. It was a truly creative fundraiser and as you can see, the children really enjoyed the opportunity to come to school in an irreverent manner.
I told the other mums in the school yard that I was taking photos of their children to send home to show our friends and family back in America what English school children looked like. I thought I had them tricked but instead they all laughed and thought that was a great "spoof."
And in case you were wondering, yes, it took longer to fix Amy's hair "bad" than it does to make it look nice.

  1. The boys wanted to have their own bad hair day since they knew Amy would be having hers at school. Except we were headed for stake conference! Luckily, the mohawk (Mathieu) and wild hair (Mikey) settled down by the time we got to Duluth.
