On Saturday, May 2, 2009 my brother Dale and his sweetheart, Alana, were married in the San Diego, CA temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being married in an LDS temple is different from other marriages because couples are sealed together for time and all eternity - not just "till death do you part." This is done by a man holding the priesthood keys to perform this ordinance as restored by the prophet Elijah. To learn more, visit http://www.lds.org/. Witnessing this event was not only the crowning event of our weekend, but one of the most joyous experiences in life.
Here are a few photo highlights from our day in San Diego:
The anticipation as we wait for the bride and groom to emerge... Why not get a 4-generation photo whilst we wait? From left to right: Lana, Lindy, Rita Brooks (great-grandma), Gwen (Lindy's daughter), and Wendy Tolley (grandma/mom). The "original" Tolley family: Dallin, Dale, Warren (Dad), Wendy (Mom), Lana & Lindy.
